Rainbow Warriors squander second-half lead

The University of Hawaii men's basketball team squandered a halftime lead and lost 80-71 to Pacific on Saturday in Stockton, Calif.

Christian Standhardinger had 20 points and nine rebounds for UH (15-11, 9-6 Big West). Isaac Fotu scored 12 points, Vander Joaquim had 10 and Jace Tavita had nine points and eight assists.

After Hauns Brereton scored the first basket of the second half to put the Rainbow Warriors in front 38-33, the Tigers went on a 19-2 run.

Travis Fulton scored 23 points for Pacific (15-10, 9-4), and Lorenzo McCloud had 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Hawaii will play Northern Arizona on Saturday at the Stan Sheriff Center.
