Geraldine Mitsuko Honda of Wailuku, Maui passed away on September 8, 2013 in Honolulu. She was a retired Registered Nurse of the Maui Medical Group. She was 86.
After retirement, she did volunteer work in the community, loved to travel and engaged in senior activities at the Kaunoa Senior Center. "Geri", as her friends knew her, enjoyed doing ribbon embroidery, beading, bunka, ceramics, sewing and other crafts as hobbies. She was an active member of the Wailuku Hongwanji Mission as Kyodan, choir, and BWA member and belonged to the Rakuen, a senior club.
She is survived by husband, Shufflo S. Honda, daughter, Gail (Kendrick) Mun; sons, Bryan Honda and Lane (Gail) Honda; 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Services will be held at the Wailuku Hongwanji Mission on Saturday, September 28, 2013 with visitation at 3:00 pm and services at 4:00 pm. Casual attire.
