No major injuries in rollover

The Maui News
A Maui Humane Society officer sits by the side of North Kihei Road on Saturday morning after rolling her truck to avoid rear-ending another vehicle. Witnesses said the driver swerved onto the embankment to miss a car turning left into the Maui Canoe Club parking area. After traveling past the car, the truck returned to the road and nearly crossed into oncoming traffic before rolling and ending up on its roof. The driver was taken by ambulance to Maui Memorial Medical Center. Society Chief Executive Officer Jocelyn Bouchard said the driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, did not sustain life-threatening injuries and was being checked out at the hospital late Saturday morning. There were no animals in the vehicle at the time of the accident, she said.
