ROGERS, Ark. (AP) - Michelle Wie of Honolulu shot a 2-over-par 73 on Sunday in the NW Arkansas Championship, and finished in a tie for eighth place after entering the final round with a two-shot lead.
Wie missed short birdie putts on the first two holes, and had a three-putt bogey on the ninth. Her 8-under total of 205 left her four shots behind the winner, Stacy Lewis.
Wie, who earned her first major title at the U.S. Women's Open the previous week, was trying to win consecutive events on the LPGA Tour for the first time.

Lewis, who was a four-time All-American at Arkansas, earned her third LPGA win of the year and the 11th of her career before a college-like atmosphere at Pinnacle Country Club full of fans cheering her on.
"This place just means so much to me," Lewis said. "So, to win here, it's just crazy how far I've come It's just really, really special to win here."
