Hawaii Food & Wine Festival was founded by Hawaii's own superstars Roy Yamaguchi and Alan Wong. It's one of the premier epicurean events in the state. In fact, the first day, Aug. 29, launches the week of activities on the Big Island. Then it moves to Maui for Under the Maui Moon the following night, and ends up on Oahu at various venues from the Modern in Waikiki to Aulani Disney Resort from Sept. 3 through 7.
