Maui wrestlers win six regional championships

Estrella was one of six Maui competitors to claim titles. His sister Nanea Estrella took a high school girls crown at 122, and Ira Navarro (100), Chelsey Chaves (117) and Jahnea Miguel (132) also won in that age group. Kayce Dudoit was the 70-pound champion in novice girls. The runners-up from Maui were Jaki Kuaana (120) and Tyeisha Takamori (128) in schoolgirls, Ivy Navarro (112) in high school girls and Chance Rodrigues (285) in junior boys. Finishing third were Clover Williams (77) in intermediate girls and Tianna Fernandez (100), Mikala Basques (132), Tayler Pelegrino-Hayase (138) and Siera Vida (180) in high school girls. The fourth-place finishers were Alexis Hayase (70), Bella Williams (80) and Jahlia Miguel (85) in novice girls, Renele Andrion (105) in schoolgirls, Valerie Rosa Perez (180) and Martika English (200) in high school girls and Kawehi Gillcoat (132) in junior boys.
