Baldwin repeats as MIL cheer champ

Baldwin High School won the Maui Interscholastic League cheerleading championship for a second straight year Saturday, and Maui High also earned a spot in the state tournament.

Baldwin finished with 491.75 points at the Maui High gym in Kahului. Maui High finished second with 370.50.

The state meet is scheduled for Nov. 4 at Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu.

Kamehameha Maui finished third on Saturday with 351.50 points, followed by King Kekaulike (279.00) and Lahainaluna (263.25).

Baldwin also won the MIL junior varsity event with 384.25 points. Maui High (355.50) was second.
