Seabury Hall senior Victoria Winham was named the 2017-18 Gatorade Hawaii Girls Cross Country Runner of the Year on Monday.

Winham won her second straight state individual title in October. She also helped lead the Spartans to the overall state crown.

She has also maintained a 3.73 grade-point average.

Winham is the third Maui Interscholastic League athlete to earn the girls runner of the year honors, joining Seabury’s Dakota Grossman (2010-11 to 2013-14), and King Kekaulike’s Bailey Massenburg (2008-09).

Pavao has hole-in-one at The Dunes

Kaleb Pavao of Kula made a hole-in-one on Saturday at The Dunes at Maui Lani.

Pavao aced the 154-yard sixth hole using a 9 iron. The shot was witnessed by Bruce Sutherland.
