Rainbow Wahine sweep Costal Carolina, win first match of the season

McKenna Granato had 15 kills, and the University of Hawaii women’s volleyball team earned its first victory of the season Thursday night at Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.

The Rainbow Wahine (1-2) swept Coastal Carolina 25-17, 25-21, 25-17.

Splitting time at setter, Norene Iosia and Faith Maafala has 17 and 19 assists, respectively.

Dora Lulic led UH with a .714 hitting percentange to go with her five kills.

Anett Nemeth had seven kills to lead the Chanticleers (1-3).

The teams play again today.
