Coaches needed at King Kekaulike

The King Kekaulike High School athletic department is currently accepting applications for several coaching positions.

The school is seeking coaches for swimming and diving (boys and girls), boys basketball, tennis (boys and girls) and boys volleyball.

Those interested can pick up an application at the school’s main office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays.

The deadline to apply is 4 p.m. on Sept. 7.

Grover records ace at The Dunes at Maui Lani

Judy Grover made a hole-in-one on Aug. 15 at The Dunes at Maui Lani.

Grover aced the 114-yard eighth hole using a 7 iron. Witnesses were Karen Schafer and Karen Downard.


Thesing has ace at Maui Nui Golf Club

Karen Thesing of Granite Bay, B.C., made a hole-in-one Sunday at Maui Nui Golf Club.

Thesing used a 7 iron to ace the seventh hole from 112 yards. The shot was witnessed by Brian Thesing.
