Baldwin boys bowling sweeps Kihei Charter, 3-0

The Baldwin High School boys bowling team defeated Kihei Charter 3-0 Saturday at Maui Bowling Center in Wailuku.

Christopher Keanini-Higa led the way for the Bears bowling high games of 190 and 162. Keanini-Higa’s teammates Josiah Souza and Kainalu Torres-Estores bowled games of 176, 170 and 158, 154, respectively.

Kai Deshincoe bowled games of 133 and 101 for Kihei Charter, while Beckham Westphal bowled a 125.

On the girls side, Baldwin’s Jailee Fujita led the Bears to a 3-0 win over Kihei Charter after bowling a game high 174.

Fujita was joined by Victoria Leong who bowled a 160 and 146, while Alyssa-jade Riglos bowled a 139 and 133.

Jade Tropp led Kihei Charter with games of 118 and 115. Her teammates, Victoria Fonville and Maile Coulter bowled a 105 and 114, respectively.

In other action, Maui High and Kamehameha Schools Maui split their respective matches.

On the girls side, Erika Dowells led the Sabers to a 2-1 win with high games of 169 and 160. Dowells was joined by Anna Barcoma-Suyat who bowled a 149.

For the Warriors, Nadia Apo-Takayama bowled a team-high 157 and 148, while Keala Ching bowled a 159.

Josiah Kaluau-Shimada led KSM to a 2-1 victory over Maui High with a 165 and Bryson Reformina bowled a 154 and 147.

For the Sabers, Reinhard Jonathan Salacup bowled a 145 and Donnie Archer bowled a 128.
