King Kekaulike and Baldwin trade sweeps in MIL bowling matches

King Kekaulike High School and Baldwin each got wins in their matches at Maui Bowling Center in Wailuku on Saturday.

For Na Alii, Trevor Onaga bowled a 197 and 161 to lead King Kekaulike to its 3-0 win over Baldwin. Onaga’s teammate Dillon Ikeda bowled a 189 and 165, while Ryan Siarot shot a 165.

Christopher Keanini-Higa was the top bowler for the Bears with high scores of 194 and 188. Kainalu Torres-Estores and Elijah Apuna bowled a 178 and 163, respectively.

On the girls side, Alyssa-Jade Riglos led the Bears to a 3-0 sweep of Na Alii with scores of 171 and 135.

Her teammate Victoria Leong followed with scores of 134 and 124, and Jailee Fujita shot a 125.

Tanisha Valdez was the top bowler for King Kekaulike with scores of 148 and 123. Valdez’s teammates Emma Gudmunson and Leona Wong bowled 122 and 115, respectively.

In other action, Kamehameha Maui, swept Kihei Charter on the boys and girls side.

Josiah Kaluau-Shimada bowled a 204 and 183, while his teammate Bryson Reformia shot a 156 and 142.

Beckham Westphal led the way for Kihei Charter with a 107 and Kai Deschincoe bowled a 105.

On the girls side, Nadia Apo-Takayama bowled a 167 for Kamehameha Maui and Healani Tolentino bowled a 140 and 138 to defeat Kihei Charter 3-0.

Olivia Augustine and Victoria Fonville bowled a 113 and 11, respectively to lead Kihei Charter.
