Lunas remain unbeaten with victories over Sabers

The Lahainaluna High School girls and boys basketball teams both remained undefeated Thursday night with wins over Maui High at Lahaina Civic Center.

Susi Namoa had 15 points, Ashley Akamine scored 13 and Aira Baguyo added 12 to lead the Lady Lunas to a 64-23 victory. Lahainaluna improved to 6-0 in Maui Interscholastic League play.

The Sabers (3-4) got 12 points from Leiana Thornton.

In the nightcap, the Lahainaluna boys upped their record to 3-0 after defeating Maui High 47-32.

Hunter Higdin scored 14 points to lead the Lunas. Reece Pascua added 12 points and Tre Rickard chipped in 11.

DJ Sable and Brycetyn Boco each had a team-high five points for the Sabers (2-1).
