UH posts another exhibition sweep of British Columbia

Stijn van Tilburg had nine kills and Rado Parapunov added eight as the third-ranked University of Hawaii men’s volleyball team defeated British Columbia 25-21, 25-18, 25-17 in an exhibition match Saturday night at the Stan Sheriff Center.

King Kekaulike High School graduate Colton Cowell had six kills on six attempts, two digs and three blocks for UH.

Coltyn Liu led the Thunderbirds with a match-high 14 kills, hitting .500.

The Rainbow Warriors defeated the Thunderbirds, 25-17, 25-17, 25-19 on Friday.

UH officially opens the season this week with the Hawaiian Airlines Rainbow Warrior Classic starting Thursday.
