Toluta‘u, Seawolves set to defend MLR title

Maui’s Vili Toluta’u will lead the Seattle Seawolves into the Major League Rugby championship game, set for this weekend in San Diego.

The Seawolves, who won last year’s inaugural title with help from Toluta’u’s league MVP season, will take on the San Diego Legion for the title at 10 a.m. HST Sunday — the game will be televised live on CBS.

Toluta’u, a fan favorite, made his return after being sidelines months due to injury in the Seawolves’ 30-17 semifinal win over the Toronto Arrows last Sunday at Starfire Stadium in Tukwila, Wash.
