No. 18 Rainbow Wahine get past Mountaineers in 4

Brooke Van Sickle and Amber Igiede each had 14 kills as the 18th-ranked University of Hawaii women’s volleyball team rallied to beat West Virginia 18-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-12 on Thursday night at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.
Igiede also had six blocks as the Rainbow Wahine improved to 7-0 with the win in their opener of the Outrigger Hotels and Resorts Volleyball Challenge.
Hanna Hellvig added nine kills and six blocks, and Bailey Choy and Norene Iosia each had 14 digs for UH, which out-dug West Virginia 73-54. Jolie Rasmussen, who was named the National Player of the Week two weeks ago, had seven kills before leaving with an apparent ankle injury.
Katelyn Evans led the Mountaineers (4-3) with nine kills.
UH next plays Utah Valley today and UCLA on Saturday.
