Racquetball tourney to be held Nov. 15-17

The 15th annual Hawaii State Doubles Racquetball Tournament is scheduled for Nov. 15-17 at the Maui Family YMCA in Kahului.

The registration fee is $40 for the first event and $25 for a second event for adults, and $20/$10 for juniors.

The entry deadline is Thursday. Visit mauiymca.org/racquetball-tournament to register online.

HYSA Maui officials certification class set

HYSA Maui will be holding a live certification class for beginning USSF soccer referees on Nov. 16.

Interested candidates 13 years old and older are required to be certified to work for sanctioned Hawaii soccer leagues and tournaments. No soccer experienced is required to be a referee. HYSA Maui referees are paid for their services.

Central East Maui Little League sign-ups set

Central East Maui Little League will conduct sign-ups for the spring season from Saturday through Nov. 16.

Registration is online at clubs.bluesombrero.com/cemll. Documents must be scanned as a PDF file to be submitted.

Wada of Lahaina has hole-in-one at Maui Nui

Gregg Wada of Lahaina hit a hole-in-one at Maui Nui Golf Club on Sunday.

Wada aced the No. 3 hole from 108 yards using a pitching wedge. Witnesses were Joseph Deligente, Inrinco Balmores and Humpty Sakamoto.

Johnson of Lahaina aces No. 7 at Maui Nui

Ben Johnson of Lahaina recorded a hole-in-one on Sunday at Maui Nui Golf Club.

Johnson used a 3-wood to ace the 168-yard seventh hole. Corina Rose and Danny Rose witnessed the shot.
