Rainbow Warriors need little time to handle Railsplitters

Colton Cowell and Rado Parapunov each had 10 kills as the undefeated University of Hawaii men’s volleyball team swept past Lincoln Memorial on Monday in Harrogate, Tenn.

Cowell, a graduate of King Kekaulike High School, also had three digs and a block for the No. 1-ranked Rainbow Warriors in the 25-15, 25-15, 25-23 victory.

Brett Sheward had 25 assists and Patrick Gasman had seven blocks for Hawaii (8-0). UH hit a season-high .603 while dispatching the Railsplitters in just 76 minutes.

Evan Cory led Lincoln Memorial with 16 kills.

The Rainbow Warriors wrap up their four-match road trip today at King before heading home for the Outrigger Hotels & Resorts Invitational on Feb. 6-8, against Queens, Concordia and UC Irvine.
