Maui Prep runs past St. Anthony

Maui Preparatory Academy took a leg up on clinching the third seed for the Maui Interscholastic League Division II boys basketball tournament with a 77-65 win over St. Anthony in Na Pueo’s new on-campus gymnasium, the Bozich Center for Athletics and Performing Arts on Friday.

MPA is now 5-4 in MIL D-II play; St. Anthony fell to 3-5.

Drew Triplett scored 29 points for MPA, while Kaimana Baker poured in 27 for the Trojans. The two teams play again today at 7 p.m. at War Memorial Gym.

In other MIL D-II action, regular-season champion Seabury Hall outscored Molokai 37-5 in the second half to register in a 57-34 win on Molokai.
