Baldwin, Lahainaluna, King Kekaulike open with wins

The Maui Interscholastic League girls water polo season opened on Thursday at the Kihei Aquatic Center with defending champion Baldwin High School downing Seabury Hall 12-8.

The Bears led 4-0 after one quarter and 7-3 at halftime. Jacsen Donohue and Kristi Kimura both scored three goals for the Bears. Bella Otterson led the Spartans with five goals.

In other season openers, Lahainaluna defeated Maui High 13-6, and King Kekaulike beat Kamehameha Maui 19-5.
