Seabury, Molokai open with sweeps

Seabury Hall and Molokai High School each finished off season-opening series sweeps on Saturday in Maui Interscholastic League Division II boys volleyball play.
The Spartans (2-0) didn’t drop a set in downing Lanai 25-17, 25-19, 25-18 in Lanai City.
Zak Burkett dished out 17 assists to go along with four kills, a block and an ace to lead Seabury Hall. Kalai Anderson had 14 kills, a dig and an ace, while Tyler Russell chipped in 12 digs and three assists.
Lanai (0-2) didn’t keep statistics for the match.
On the Friendly Isle, the Farmers (2-0) beat Hana (0-2) in five close sets, 24-26, 25-23, 25-21, 14-25, 15-13.
