Makawao archer Arreola puts up perfect score to win in South Dakota

Liko Arreola, a 13-year-old archer from Makawao, shot a perfect score of 900 to win her compound youth female division at the

NFAA Rushmore Rumble in Yankton, S.D., over the weekend.

Arreola scored 600 with 50 bullseyes Saturday, the first day of competition in the Vegas 5

spot format, and 300 with 27 X’s on Sunday in the Vegas 3 spot format.

There were approximately 700 archers competing in the event, and only 24 scored a perfect 900.

Arreola was the youngest competitor and the only female to score 900 — 22 of those scores came in the championship compound open division and the other came in the championship compound young adult division.
