South Side Boxing Club brings home titles

The South Side Boxing Club, which is based in Kihei, claimed four titles and three runner-up finishes at the 45th Gene Lewis Boxing Tournament in Mesa, Ariz., last week.

The division winners from SSBC included Chance Del Rosario, who won the 125-pound Youth Sub-Novice title; Etienne Hardy (156 Youth Male Sub-Novice crown), Shailee Lurendez (95 Intermediate Female Novice) and Aeson Gorospe (101 Bantam Male Novice).

The second-place finishers from SSBC were Kaydrin Visesio-De La Nux (132 Junior Female Novice), Brayden Nunes (110 Junior Male) and Anthony Farias-Vazquez (80 Bantam Male Sub-Novice).
