Spartans sweep Farmers, clinch MIL title

Skylar Conley had 10 kills, Caelyn Hasegawa had 28 assists, two kills and a block, and Ki’i Rilveria had 18 digs for the top-seeded Spartans (11-1), who wrapped up their fourth straight MIL D-II title and ninth overall since 2011. They will play in the state quarterfinals Thursday on Oahu. Molokai (9-4) now faces a rematch with Hana (8-3) today at 10 a.m. at Maui Prep for the MIL’s second state spot. The third-seeded Farmers defeated the second-seeded Dragons in four sets in the tournament semifinals Thursday night, giving them a 2-1 record over Hana this season.
