MIL seeking wrestling officials with experience

The Maui Interscholastic League is looking for experienced wrestling officials for the upcoming season.

The MIL wrestling season starts Saturday with the first round-robin meet and runs through the MIL championships on Feb. 26.


Masaki of Pukalani sinks ace at Pukalani

Jerry Masaki of Pukalani recorded a hole-in-one on Wednesday at Pukalani Country Club.

Masaki used a 6-iron in acing the No. 3 hole from 145 yards. Jeff Moule, Victor Inouye and Tim Murren witnessed the shot.


Dick of Edmonton aces 17th at Maui Nui

Heather Dick of Edmonton, Alberta, made a hole-in-one at Maui Nui Golf Club on Jan. 7.

Dick aced the 17th hole from 115 yards while using a 7-iron. Witnesses were Peter and Nancy Hansen.


Tenuta of Wisconsin has ace at Wailea

Daniel Tenuta of Kenosha, Wis., made a hole-in-one on Jan. 14 at the Wailea Emerald Course.

Tenuta used a pitching wedge to ace the eighth hole. Witnesses were Robert Britton, Ray Sandhill and Paul Cota.
