The state champion Maui Pony team went 2-2 at the Pony (14U) West Zone baseball tournament in West Covina, Calif.

On Friday, Maui lost to the host team 10-7 before bouncing back with an 11-3 victory over Moses Lake (Wash.).

Maui then edged Long Beach (Calif.) 13-11 on Saturday afternoon but bowed out of the double-elimination tournament with a 5-1 loss to Costa Mesa (Calif.) later that night.
