Rainbow Wahine win fourth in a row, sweep Titans

Brooke Van Sickle had a match-high 16 kills, and the University of Hawaii women’s volleyball team won its fourth straight match with a sweep of Cal State Fullerton on Friday in Fullerton, Calif.

Riley Wagoner added 10 kills and 13 digs for the Rainbow Wahine (15-6, 12-1 Big West Conference) in the 25-23, 25-19, 25-14 win.

Setter Kate Lang had 33 assists as she guided UH to a .237 hitting percentage and also had 14 digs. Libero Tayli Ikenaga also had 14 digs.

Amber Igeide was a force at the net, posting three solo blocks and six total as the ‘Bows’ outblocked the Titans 9-5. She also had five kills and eight digs. Fellow middle Skyler Williams had three blocks — one solo — and seven kills.

Cal State Fullerton (9-12, 6-8) was led by Haley Carmo’s six kills.

The Rainbow Wahine play at Long Beach State today.
