UH wins 11th in a row with sweep of Miners

The third-ranked University of Hawaii men’s volleyball team emptied the bench as it swept past Missouri S&T for the second straight night, 25-14, 25-18, 25-17 on Friday at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.
Chaz Galloway had nine kills in two sets, and Spyros Chakas hit .857 while posting six kills while playing just the first set for UH (12-1).
Kurt Nusterer and Tread Rosenthal each had three aces as the Rainbow Warriors served up 12 aces. Rosenthal, who played two sets, dished out 24 assists.
Nate Meyer had 11 kills to lead the Miners (8-8), a DI independent.
The Rainbow Warriors — six games through an 11-game homestand — next host Sacred Heart for matches on March 1 and 3.
