Hawaii to finish road schedule with game at Utah State

The University of Hawaii football team will play its final road game of the year today against Utah State in Logan, Utah.

The Rainbow Warriors (3-7, 1-6 Mountain West Conference) lost 31-21 to Fresno State last week, which eliminated UH from bowl contention and assured the team of a seventh straight nonwinning season.

“That bowl game isn’t in our reach, in terms of our control, but what is in our reach is how we finish,” Rainbow Warriors receiver Dylan Collie said in an interview posted online by the school.

The Aggies (5-5, 3-3) were idle last week after winning 24-10 at New Mexico on Nov. 4. Utah State has lost its last three home games.

“They know they need one more game to get bowl eligible, so I’m sure they’ll be fired up to play,” said UH coach Nick Rolovich.

Hawaii’s Diocemy Saint Juste has 1,349 rushing yards this season, leaving him 150 shy of breaking the school record set by Travis Sims in 1992.
