UH falls to Idaho State in OT

The University of Hawaii women’s basketball team rallied from a 10-point third-quarter deficit to force overtime before falling to Idaho State 64-62 on Friday night at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.
The Rainbow Wahine (5-4) outscored the Bengals 11-7 in the fourth quarter, with Makenna Woodfolk’s jumper tying the game at 52-52 with 1 minute, 20 seconds remaining. Both teams failed to score again in regulation.
Idaho State built a cushion by scoring the first six points of overtime and never trailed the rest of the way.
Sarah Toeaina scored 27 points to lead UH. Brooke Blair had 20 points and Sai Tapasa had 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Bengals (6-3).
The Rainbow Wahine next take a three-game road trip to Arizona to face the Wildcats on Dec. 17, and to Las Vegas for the Duel in the Desert, where they will face No. 21 Texas A&M on Dec. 20 and No. 9 Oregon on Dec. 22.
