Zippy’s is holding a fundraiser on Tuesday for officers Tiffany Enriquez and Kaulike Kalama, who were killed in the line of duty on Jan. 19 in a Diamond Head neighborhood on Oahu.
Profits from sales of three selected menu items at the fast-food counter will be donated to The Officers Enriquez & Kalama Memorial Fund. The items are Breakfast Bento #2 (available until 10:30 a.m.), Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, or Mini Spaghetti with Meat Sauce (both available all day).
In addition, all change collected in coin collection bins at Zippy’s throughout the entire month of February will be donated to the memorial fund.
“The tragedies of Jan. 19, 2020, affected Honolulu’s first responders, the families of the two fallen officers, and the many families on Hibiscus Drive that lost homes and loved ones,” said Zippy’s President Paul Yokota. “It also affected our own staff at Zippy’s — police officers are a huge part of our Zippy’s ohana. We were heartbroken when we heard the news, and we are steadfast in our support of the families of the Officers Enriquez and Kalama.”
