AARP to hold forums for kupuna on vaccine
The Maui News
AARP Hawaii will hold two forums this month to connect kupuna with high-ranking state officials who can answer their questions about the COVID-19 vaccine in Hawaii.
Lt. Gov. Josh Green and Ron Balajadia, head of the state Department of Health Immunization Branch, will speak at AARP’s telephone town hall at noon Wednesday. Hawaii Adjutant Gen. Kenneth Hara and a panel of Health Department officials will answer questions about the state’s Safe Travels program, the COVID-19 vaccine and other aspects of Hawaii’s COVID-19 response during a Zoom webinar at noon on March 23.
Both forums will be simulcast on the AARP Hawaii Facebook page at www.facebook.com/AARPHawaii/. A toll-free telephone line has been set up for those without internet access to participate in the town hall with Green and Balajadia. Participants can call in at (833) 305-0175 at noon Wednesday.
Those with internet access should register online at vekeo.com/aarphawaii.
