Brainstomers, HTDC collaborate on classes
Maui Business Brainstormers and the Hawaii Technology Development Corp. have teamed-up for a new project consisting of educational events focused on helping local businesses move forward amid the pandemic.
The 2020 line-up of offerings will be specifically focused on how to navigate the unique and constantly changing challenges of business during the pandemic. The agreement was forged July 1.
“Maui County businesses are an integral part of our strategic plan. We partner with locally-based players like MBB, a grassroots organization with a solid eight-year record of offering resources focused on helping manufacturers, technology companies, and other small businesses become stronger and thrive,” said Wayne Inouye, the center director of Innovate Hawai’i, the program under HTDC leading this team effort with MBB.
With programs focused on business education, skill-building, planning and analysis, as well as motivational inspiration, MBB creates and organizes an average of 35 events each year. In 2019, HTDC and MBB joined together to offer events focused on business education for Maui businesses.
Pat Diaz, Nicole Fisher, Grace Fung and Lori Fisher are part of MBB’s team that is collaborating with HTDC/Innovate Hawai’i to deliver the program.
The events offered through HTDC’s “Innovate Hawaii” program will have free admission.
Because distancing and masks are currently required, the events will take place both in a room with limited seating at the Maui Research and Technology Center, as well as virtually.
For information on classes, go to HTDC.org/events or MauiBusinessBrainstormers.org.
