Joss Stone to debut on Maui on June 27 at Castle Theater

Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and actress Joss Stone will be making her Maui debut June 27 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Castle Theater.

Born in Devon in the United Kingdom, Stone has earned numerous accolades, including two Brit Awards and one Grammy. She made her film acting debut in the fantasy adventure “Eragon” and her television debut portraying Anne of Cleves in the Showtime series “The Tudors.”
Stone began pursuing a singing career at the age of 13 and secured a record deal at 15. Her multiplatnum debut album, “The Soul Sessions,” was released in 2003, when she was 16.
She has released a total of seven albums, including “Mind Body & Soul” with top 10 hit “You Had Me”; “Introducing Joss Stone”; and her latest, “Water for Your Soul.”
In her young career, Stone already has sold more than 15 million records.
She grew up listening to a wide variety of music, including 1960s and 1970s American R&B and soul music performed by such artists as Dusty Springfield and Aretha Franklin and has performed alongside legendary artists, such as James Brown, Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Sting, Van Morrison and Melissa Etheridge. She has collaborated with and contributed to albums for Jeff Beck, Sting, Mick Jagger and Damien Marley.
Her show begins at 7:30 p.m.
