Musician hosts guitar camp on west side, concert at the MACC

World-renowned guitarist Tommy Emmanuel will host his Holiday Guitar Getaway Dec. 28 to Jan. 1 at the Royal Lahaina Resort, and will perform at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Castle Theater on Jan. 2. Emmanuel has hosted over 11 guitar camps throughout the world over the last five years, and “The Tommy Emmanuel Holiday Guitar Getaway” will be his final retreat before taking an extended hiatus. Youth orchestra will present Winter Concert

Maui Youth Philharmonic Orchestra will present its Winter Concert at 3 p.m. Dec. 8 at the King Kekaulike Performing Arts Center in Pukalani. The community is invited to an afternoon of music performed by Maui’s youths playing orchestral instruments. Admission is free.
