Hatsume Sylvia Taira of Lahaina peacefully passed away on April 17, 2023 under the care of her daughter, Jane Chinen and her family. Hatsume was born on February 11, 1920 in Kaupakulua Maui. She was preceded by her parents, Jiro and Kame Shiroma, loving husband, Shigeru Taira and brother, Isao Shiroma.
