Honey Olinda (Apo) Laborte, of Lahaina, Maui left her temporary home and as she promised, walked up to Heaven with our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on July 21, 2022, at her residence in Lahaina surrounded by her loved ones. A memorial service over cremains will be held on Saturday, Sep-tember 3rd, 2022, at Waiola Church, 535 Waine‘e Street, Lahaina. Harumi Ushijima of Kula, passed away on July 16, 2022, under the care of Hospice Maui and Hui Aloha, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 9, 1925, in Makawao to the late Komahei and Makino Takemoto. She is pre-deceased by husband Yoshitaka, and brothers Hideo Takemoto, and Kazuo Takemoto. Together with her late husband, they farmed cabbages and round onions for many years.
