There was an error in the obituary that ran in the Maui News on February 1, 2020. There was a misspelling in the obituary for Edith K. Kong. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Kong; her son, Kennan Kong; two daughters, Karen Martin and Sandra Boyer; eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

John Bernard Leong, 70, of Lahaina, passed away on February 11, 2020, at Hale Makua in Kahului under hospice care. He was born on April 7, 1949 in Honolulu. John was a retired electrician. He was also a Vietnam Army Veteran. He is survived by his longtime partner and friend, Janice Lorenzo of Kenai, Alaska and her family; aunts, Pua Paoa, Georgiana “Lola” Yuen, Helen Sing, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Eva S. Medeiros, 97, of Kahului, Maui, passed away peacefully under Hospice care at Hale Makua on February 8, 2020. She was born on March 27, 1922, in Waihee, Maui. She loved Hawaiian music (singing – dancing – playing the Ukulele). She will be fondly remembered and truly missed. She is survived by her son, Arthur (Valerie) Medeiros; grandchildren, Misty (Bobby) Bull and Troy (Tatiana) Medeiros; great grand-children, Zach Bull, Caylah and Wyatt Medeiros.
