Dennis “Danny” Alfred Mateo Sr., 68, of Pukalani, Maui, passed away on September 24, 2019 at Maui Memorial Medical Center in the company of his family and close friends. He was born on August 21, 1951, in Pu‘unene, Maui.  Danny graduated from St. Anthony School in 1970. He served as a Maui County Council Member from Moloka‘i for 12 years, 8 of those years as the Council Chair. He recently retired as County Clerk.
