Mary Lou Schenk, 92 

Mary Lou Schenk, 92, of Wailuku, Maui passed away at her home on June 4th, 2019 under Hospice Care and was surrounded by her family. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 4th, 1926. She was a kind and loving mother and a lifelong member of St. Anthony Church in Wailuku. Mary Lou and her Husband Walter K. Schenk (deceased) moved to Maui in 1966 with their 7 Sons; David (Loretta), Brian (deceased), Douglas (Cindy), Michael, Gregory, Kenneth (Lilly) and Jeffrey (Keni). Frank Beecher Wooding III, 77         

Beecher died June 1, 2019, while windsurfing at Kanaha Beach Park on Maui. Beecher was born in September 1941 in Meriden CT to Frank and Ella Wooding. He earned a BA in Geology at Harvard, graduating in 1965. He worked for Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts for 40 years. The bulk of his career at WHOI was spent designing and developing instrumentation for the ocean-bottom environment. He participated in at least 60 science cruises. Pearl Lorraine Blair was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Kim Len and Harriet Loy Kyau Yap on November 25, 1924. She enjoyed a full and wonderful life and went home to be with God on April 27, 2019 at the age of 94. She attended Maryknoll Elementary School and University Lab School, graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1942. Bessie Kalua Pauole DeMello was born Jan 17, 1927 on Hoolehua, Molokai and went home so peacefully to Jesus on May 11, 2019 at the age of 92. Her Celebration of Aloha will be held on Saturday June 8, 2019 at Kings Cathedral in Kahului at 9 am. Caroline “Kalena” Munar Espirito passed peacefully at Hale Makua Kahului on May 14, 2019. She was born on January 15, 1943 and raised in Paia. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and the owner and operator of Caroline’s Tax in 1980-2000.
