Richard “Dickie” Joaquin, 72 of Kahului, passed away on January 7, 2019. He was born on January 25, 1946 in Paia, Maui. Visitation 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Ballard Family Mortuary, service 11 a.m., with burial to follow at Maui Veterans Cemetery at 1 p.m. Richard was a graduate of Baldwin High School. Elizabeth Chaveria Pagan was born on April 7, 1924 in Makawao, Maui. She graduated from Farrington High School and worked for the Dole Cannery on Oahu. In 1959, Elizabeth moved back to Maui to marry the love of her life, the late Joseph "Boy" Pagan. Together they raised their children, Joseph "Joey" Pagan, David Pagan Sr., Michael Pagan Sr., Frank Bernard, Leonard Pagan Sr., Gwendolyn Bernard, and Clifford Pagan.
