John J. Haleyalbung, 58, of Waiehu, went home on December 3, 2017. He was born on March 7, 1959 to Andrew William Bemo and Francisca Maria Legasiugtal on Falalis, Woleai, an outer Island of Yap. Growing up, he took his education seriously, graduating from Outer Islands High School at the age of 16, and going on to graduate from Micronesian Community College at the age of 18. Torio Nishida, 96, of Wailuku, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2017 at Hale Makua Kahului, surrounded by his loving children. Services honoring Mr. Nishida were held privately. Nakamura Mortuary assisted with arrangements. Torio was born on January 27, 1921 in Omaopio, he was the fourth of nine children. He attended Kula Elementary and then began working on the family farm.
