Kikuyo Suematsu, 85, of Wailuku, passed away on June 7, 2017 at Hale Makua in Kahului. She was born in Wailuku on September 8, 1931. Private services were held. Kikuyo was a speech therapist for the State of Hawaii. She is survived by her brother, Yuji (Phyllis) Suematsu; sister, Sumie Suematsu; and 3 nephews, Ryan, Robb, and Joel Suematsu. David “DD” Warren, 65

Dave Warren, 65, of Lahaina, passsed peacefully on April 3, 2017 with friends and family by his side. We are not in the last days. Come all, come happy. Herman R.K. Young, 64, of Kahului, passed away on June 5, 2017 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on June 2, 1953 in Honolulu. Kikuko Ganiko, 101, of Kihei, Maui, passed away on May 17, 2017. She was born on September 2, 1915, in Makawao. Private family services were held. Kikuko is survived by her daughters, Mollie Tamashiro, Patricia (John) Jones; granddaughters, Karla Tamashiro, Jan (Michael) Ratte; and great granddaughter, Kayla Ratte. John “Teddy” F. Galam, 86

John “Teddy” F. Galam, 86 of Kahului passed away May 18, 2017. He was born in the Pu’unene to Cepriano and Esperanza Galam. Teddy attended Maui High School in Hamakuapoko and was a truck driver for V.I.E. He loved jamming at family parties. Restoring cars was his passion and landscaping was his comfort zone. Teddy took pride in everything he did. Visitation will be held at St Ann’s Catholic Church in Waihee on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 9:00am-10:00am. Toshiko Hirose, 88 of Wailuku, passed away on June 5, 2017, in Honolulu. She was born in Kona on August 22, 1928. Visitation and funeral service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017, at Wailuku Hongwanji Mission. Toshiko is survived by her husband Meiji, daughters Karen Oka (Keith) and Akiko Hirose (Chris Short), grandson Kyle Oka, brothers Shinobu Sato (Joan) and Tatsumi Sato (Annette), sister Fumiko Carpenter, and many nieces and nephews.
