George Kelii Aki Namauu Sr., 83, was born on May 22, 1941 In Oahu but raised here on Maui. He passed away on August 31, 2024 at home in Wailuku, surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his wife, Gertrude K. Uwekoolani and son, Jason L. Namauu. He leaves behind his 4 children, Valerie H. Namauu of Kahikinui, Justin P. Namauu of Kahikinui, George (Melissa) K. Namauu Jr. of Wailuku and Jeffrey (Crystal) C.K. Namauu of Kihei. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. He is survived by his loving partner, Zelie Apo, sons CJ and Christopher, stepchildren Jodi (Justin) Yanagida and Noah Tomooka, brother Steven (Sun) Hisamoto, and sister Tami (Dan) Sato.
