Foundations and entities who contributed recently to Maui County community nonprofits and others are as follows:
In celebration of Pizza Paradiso’s 20th anniversary, owner and Executive Chef Paris Nabavi donated $4,000 to Habitat for Humanity Maui’s Hurricane Lane recovery efforts and the fire victims who lost their homes in Lahaina last August.
For 20 years, Pizza Paradiso has been serving West Maui with its award-winning pizza and Mediterranean fare. During Nov. 1 to 20, patrons received a 10 percent discount and Nabavi matched the 10 percent of the sales.
Habitat for Humanity Maui Executive Director Sherri Dodson received the donation from Nabavi on Dec. 27.

Subaru Hawaii presented a $8,334 donation to Maui Humane Society as part of its annual ìShare the Loveî campaign. This year, Subaru Hawaii increased its annual Share the Lovîe donation from $30,000 to $50,000. For every new Subaru vehicle purchased in Hawaii between Nov. 1 through Dec. 31, 2018, Subaru Hawaii donated $250, divided among six nonprofits, up to $50,000. The Alzheimer’s Association, Aloha Chapter, Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii, Hawaiian Humane Society, Hawaii Island Humane Society and Kauai Humane Society also received donations of $8,334 each.
