Restaurants donate to local nonprofits
The Legacy Fund announced the participating restaurants for its annual donation to local nonprofits.
Donators include The Mill House in Waikapu, $5,000; Fork & Salad in Kihei, $3,333.33; Pizza Paradiso in Honokowai, $10,000; Taverna in Kapalua, $3,600; and The Fish Market in Honokowai, $2,000.
Created in 2017 by chef Paris Nabavi, the Legacy Fund partners with Maui restaurants in donating proceeds made from the sales of a dish to local nonprofits and programs.
The current beneficiaries include Grow Some Good, Kids & Teens Cook with Heart, and Maui Food Innovation Center at University of Hawaii-Maui College.
