Whale Trust to host virtual Whale Tales

Whale Trust, in partnership with Drury Design, will present the first-ever virtual Whale Tales event Feb. 13 and 14.

The 15th annual Whale Tales -- A Virtual Experience will feature talks from world-renowned researchers on cetaceans and the ocean environment, showcase underwater photography and video of whales and include immersive and interactive educational opportunities presented by marine research and conservation organizations.

Whale Tales -- A Virtual Experience presents a unique opportunity for marine enthusiasts to hear firsthand what scientists are studying and discovering about the ocean and its inhabitants.

Presentations, a live marine expo and check-ins from around the world will be held throughout the weekend.

Registration is a minimum $60 donation and includes access to the weekend event and on-demand sessions for 30 days. Kama'aina and student discounts are available.

Proceeds from the event go to the Whale Tales Beneficiary Program, which has raised more than $822,000 to support marine research and education organizations.
