Girl Scouts of Hawaii invites interested girls and their families to two free virtual recruitment events, a family-involved STEM challenge from 5 to 6 p.m. on March 12 and a Girl Scouts' birthday celebration from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. on March 13.
Attendees will also have an opportunity to learn more about the Girl Scouts organization and its programs.
"Our annual open house event allows girls of all ages to experience what it's like to be part of a troop and the activities they'd participate in, as well as answer questions parents and families may have," said Shari Chang, chief executive officer of the Girl Scouts of Hawaii. "While this year's programs will be held online, participants will still learn how Girl Scouts prepare girls for a lifetime of leadership, success and adventure in a fun and safe place designed for girls, by girls."
Girl Scouts of Hawaii will also provide financial assistance in the form of a free membership to girls with families that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
