The Maui Okinawa Kenjin Kai has awarded three $1,000 scholarships to Haley Mahoe of Lahainaluna High School and Luke Nagamine and Cody Gima, both of Maui High School.
This fall, Mahoe will attend the University of Pennsylvania, where she will study politics, philosophy and economics. Nagamine will attend Arizona State University with plans to major in graphic design. Gima will study computer science at the University of Portland.
