Introductory Ki-Aikido course set to start Friday in Wailuku

A public introductory course in the Japanese martial art of Ki-Aikido will be offered on four consecutive Friday nights beginning March 1 at the Shunshinkan Dojo of Maui Ki Aikido, 194 S. Market, Wailuku, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

Ki-Aikido teaches practical self-defense with a peaceful mindset and calmness training through movement. The basic principles of Ki-Aikido will be introduced and practiced over the course of the 4 sessions. The course is open to adults and teens and will be taught by 6th-dan Head Instructor Tracy Reasoner.

The course fee of $40 will be fully applied to dues if the participant joins the dojo to continue training after the 4-week course. No uniform or prior experience is required.
